RESOLVED (3/30, 8:35AM) – Last night’s issue partially affecting network connectivity on the Pleasantville campus has been resolved and services are back online and performing normally.


MONITORING (3/30, 7:00AM) – The issue partially affecting the network connectivity on the Pleasantville campus has been mitigated as of 11PM last night.  Technicians worked to isolate the cause and have been monitoring services overnight.  We will provide another update later this morning as soon as we have more information.


INVESTIGATING (3/29, 10:15PM) – We are currently experiencing a partial network/Internet outage, which is affecting specific buildings on the Pleasantville campus.  The multimedia network is currently offline while our technicians investigate and work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.  There could be additional connectivity outages while they troubleshoot and isolate the issue.  We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

RESOLVED (3/28, 11:08AM) – The network issue from Friday evening, which affected the Pleasantville, White Plains Law School, and Valhalla campuses has been resolved.  We have been monitoring the Pace network on all campuses over the weekend and it has remained stable with no connectivity issues.  As noted in our previous update, Verizon also marked the issue as resolved on their end.


MONITORING (3/27, 12:35PM) – Verizon has noted that their technicians performed work on the network backbone equipment yesterday and marked the issue as resolved on their end. Connectivity issues on the Pace network appear to have subsided as well, but we will continue to monitor all systems for now. If you’re still experiencing any widespread issues at the White Plains Law School or Valhalla campus, please call the ITS Help Desk (914-773-3333) and utilize the phone prompts to report it.


UPDATE (3/26, 10:40AM) – Verizon is reporting this morning that their technicians are still troubleshooting to identify and address the issue on their network backbone.  They should have another update later today or tonight.  In the meantime, the White Plains Law School and the Valhalla campus may still experience connectivity issues.  We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

UPDATE (3/25, 7:15PM) – Verizon has confirmed that there is an issue on their backbone, which is still affecting wireless connectivity at the White Plains Law School.  The Valhalla campus may also be experiencing intermittent connectivity, but the Pleasantville and New York City campuses should not be affected at this time.  We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.


INVESTIGATING (3/25, 6:15PM) – We are currently experiencing an intermittent network/Internet slowdown or partial outage.  Our technicians are investigating and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.  We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

RESOLVED (3/5, 11:20AM) – During overnight hours, Verizon technicians rebooted some of the equipment on their backbone circuit.  As a result, network/Internet connectivity and performance for the Pleasantville and White Plains Law School campuses have returned to normal.


INVESTIGATING (3/4, 9:30PM) – We are currently experiencing slower-than-normal network/Internet connectivity on the Pleasantville and White Plains Law School campuses due to an issue with a Verizon circuit. We have escalated a support ticket with Verizon and their technicians plan to troubleshoot the issue between 10pm-6am. During this time, end-users may experience continued slow connectivity and/or a brief outage. We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

RESOLVED (2/7, 9:30AM) – The power outage which caused partial/residual access or connectivity issues at certain building locations on the Pleasantville campus have been resolved. All systems are operating normally.


INVESTIGATING (2/4, 1:00PM) – We are currently experiencing some partial/residual access or connectivity issues at certain building locations on the Pleasantville campus, which are a result of an earlier power outage. Some locations, such as Gannet House and Administration Building, are still without power. ConEdison is sending a crew to investigate further. We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

RESOLVED (12/22, 1:10pm) – Our system vendor, D2L, has confirmed that the issue affecting access to Classes LMS (https://classes.pace.edu) has been resolved.  The system has been back online since before 9:30am with no interruption and end-users are able to log in and access their courses and related content.


MONITORING (12/22, 9:25AM) – The issue affecting access to Classes LMS (https://classes.pace.edu) was caused by an external Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage, which may have also affected other systems and services that use AWS.  Classes LMS appears to be back online and technicians will continue to monitor services.  We will provide another update as soon as it is available.
